Two Georgia homes burned down Monday night, and investigators say neither event was an accident.

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens declared the two blazes -- a $20,000 loss in LaFayette and a $100,000 loss in Ringgold -- as intentional.

The LaFayette fire at 1616 Old Trion Highway occurred at 5:48 p.m. Monday. The Ringgold fire at 941 Houston Valley Road occurred at 9:40 p.m.

The Walker County and Catoosa County fire departments are investigating along with Hudgens' fire investigation unit.

Anyone with information about these fires is asked to call Hudgens' arson hotline at 1-800-282-5804. Rewards of up to $10,000 are given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist. Calls are taken 24 hours a day, and callers can choose to remain anonymous.
