State transportation officials said the right lane of U.S. Highway 27 North from the Olgiati Bridge to Manning Street is closed today to shift traffic.
Traffic traveling north on U.S. 27 will be doing so on the new bridges and pavement. This new alignment will be in place until the contractor completes work on the center section of U.S. 27, according to Jennifer Flynn, regional community relations officer for the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
Weather or unforeseen circumstances could prevent this work from happening, and then the shift will occur on the next available night, she said.
