BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Birmingham police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found stuffed in a plastic storage box.
Lt. Sean Edwards tells AL.com the box containing the woman's body was found in an alley Sunday afternoon and her cause of death is unclear.
The woman's body is being sent to the Jefferson County Coroner's office for an autopsy, and it's unclear how long ago the woman may have died.
The woman's identity hasn't been released.
