UPDATE: Man killed in double stabbing in Ooltewah identified

A man involved in a double stabbing in Ooltewah has died from his injuries, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

The man has been identified as 52-year-old Robert Boyle.

The domestic-related stabbing caused both Boyle and an unidentified woman to suffer serious injuries Saturday evening at approximately 6:25 p.m.

Deputies responded to 8008 Short Tail Springs Road and found both victims, the release said.

Boyle was transported by Life Force, and the woman was transported via Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services.

The name of the second victim has not yet been released. The investigation is still ongoing.
