Two other suspects have been apprehended in the Dalton, Ga., drug deal gone bad that resulted in the shooting death of 20-year-old Abel Carmona, police say.

Dalton police arrested 20-year-old Marquis Dequan Tanner, of Dalton, late Thursday on a murder warrant.

Tanner is also being charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm or knife in commission of a felony.

Tanner was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. Highway 41 and Interstate 75 around midnight after police spotted a silver Nissan Pathfinder similar to one the suspect was believed to be traveling in leaving the Cliffs apartments, an area he was known to frequent.

Additionally, Dalton Police report that 17-year-old Tywon Jay Henderson, of 1300 Autumn Court, the final suspect in the homicide, surrendered to police on a warrant for murder at the Dalton Police Services Center Friday evening.

According to police, Tanner and Henderson were two of three shooting suspects involved in the apparent drug deal that led to the shooting death of Carmona on Wednesday night at an apartment complex at 214 Easterling St.

Shortly before midnight Wednesday, officers arrived at the apartments to find Carmona lying on the ground, bleeding from a gunshot wound to his chest and being treated by friends Marcus Soto and Roberto Lopez. Carmona was taken to Hamilton Medical Center unresponsive and later pronounced dead.

It was determined by detectives that Carmona had been at the apartments with Soto and Lopez to buy a large amount of marijuana, but something went wrong.

Detectives worked the case with the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Chatsworth Police Department investigators and the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force, which includes personnel from the Calhoun Police Department and the Murray County and Whitfield County sheriff's offices.

Earlier Thursday, 16-year-old Endy Becerra was arrested by Dalton police and charged with murder.

Investigators have not revealed which suspect is believed to have pulled the trigger.
