Juvenile shot by police in Cherokee County, NC

A high speed chase ends with a juvenile being shot by police.

The incident began after a Cherokee County deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle for erratic driving and speeding.

Four occupants in the vehicle fled on foot while the driver attempted to get away.

After a short pursuit, police were able to block the suspect's vehicle. They say they fired at the suspect, hitting him in the leg, after he rammed the officer's car trying to get away.
