Kevin KirtlandThe Jackson County, Ala., sheriff's office today charged a 23-year-old man with a pair of sex registry violations.
Authorities arrested Kevin Kirtland of Dutton, Ala., at his home and charged him with establishing residence with a person under 18 years of age and knowingly being within 100 feet of a former victim. Both instances constitute a violation of his probation as a registered sex offender, according to a news release.
Authorities at the scene determined a 17-year-old female had been staying with Kirtland at the residence. She was the victim in the case in which he had been arrested.
The girl was placed with relatives.
