Career and college support for special need students focus of meetings in Chattanooga

The Public Education Foundation hosts Tuesday this school year's final College Knowledge Lunch Break, a series of meetings designed to provide parents with information about careers and college.

Tuesday's noon session, held at PEF's office, 100 E. 10th, will discuss various college supports for students with special needs. While parents may grow frustrated with lack of resources for their challenged students, officials say colleges offer many supports, including special tutoring, test prep as well as help in developing study skills, writing assignments, choosing a career and using the library.

The event is free and open to the public, though an optional $5 lunch is available. Visit pefchattanooga.org/registerapply to RSVP.
