MOBILE, Ala. -- A former teacher at a private Christian school in Mobile says she is innocent of charges that she had sex with an underage student.

A court document says 33-year-old Christina Busby of Wilmer pleaded not guilty Thursday to two charges of engaging in a sex act with a student younger than 19.

The former teacher at Faith Academy is free on $30,000 bond.

Authorities say the victim was 17 when Busby had sexual relations with him at her home. One of the alleged incidents occurred on the night of the school's prom.

Busby's lawyer, Christine Hernandez, says she hasn't seen prosecutors' evidence. But she says she has seen supposedly rock-solid cases fall apart.
