Chattanooga police seek suspects in break-in at Regal Cinemas

Regal Cinemas at 2000 Hamilton Place Blvd. was broken into this morning, according to Chattanooga Police Department news release.

The suspect broke into two cash drawers and made his way up a stairwell toward the management offices where an employee was working. When the employee heard someone coming up the stairs, believing it to be another worker, she opened the door. This startled the suspect who fled back down the stairs and left the building. The employee then called police to report a burglary in progress.

Police soon arrived and the building was searched by officers and CPD K9.

Surveillance video was reviewed identifying two separate suspects, only one of whom entered the building. The suspect was armed with a pick axe during the commission of the crime.

No one was injured during the crime and nothing was believed to have been taken from the business.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
