Sheriff Gary Sisk said the shooting happened at 1095 Twin Cedars Road. The name of the victim was not immediately released. He was taken to a hospital.
"He was still alive when he left," Sisk said. "But I don't have any knowledge of what his outcome may be or the extent of his wounds."
Sisk added that there were numerous witnesses and that one other person was taken to a hospital with minor injures.
"We feel like we'll be able to get all the facts," he said. "It's not a whodunit."
