Kandace Marie Christopher, 26 of Fort Payne, will appear in court at 2 p.m. CST on Feb. 11 to determine her legal representation status, court officials said. She had no attorney as of Friday.
Christopher, who has resigned her position with Scottsboro City Schools, was arrested Monday on charges of being a school employee engaging in a sex act or deviant sexual intercourse with a student under the age of 19 and another charge of a school employee having sexual contract with a student under the age of 19, according to Scottsboro Police Department officials.
Christopher remains free on $16,000 bond, officials said.
