Five arrested in Jackson County drug seizure

The Jackson County Sheriff's narcotics unit seized 87.3 grams of Marijuana, 6.4 grams of Crack Cocaine, 9.4 grams of Cocaine HCL, 16 Ecstasy/MDMA pills and 13 Alprazolam/Xanax pills along with $1,113.00 from a Popular Street home in Scottsboro, Alabama.

Jackson County Sheriff officers seized a variety of drugs in a recent raid on a Scottsboro, Alabama home, including more than three ounces of marijuana, 6.4 grams of crack, 9.4 grams of cocaine, 16 MDMA pills and 13 Xanax pills and more than $1,000.

Investigators believe the drugs were being brought in from Atlanta for sale in Scottsboro.

The county's narcotics unit along with patrol deputies executed a search warrant at 9 p.m. on July 3, and arrested five in connection with the investigation. All but two are Scottsboro residents.

Teresa Elaine Phillips, 43, was charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Sarina Amanda Sexton, 32, of Atlanta, was charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana, Xanax and MDMA.

Wanda Appleton Sexton, 52, was charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Jewel Marice Robinson, 37, of Atlanta, was charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana, Xanax and MDMA.

Princess Sexton, 22, was charged with possession of marijuana, but was released on a $500 bond. All other defendants remain in the Jackson County Jail. No bond has been set.
