The Marietta, Ga., Police Department will shut down part of the Canton Road Connector Bridge that runs above Interstate 75 today so residents can gather in honor of Lance Cpl. Squire "Skip" Wells, a local 21-year-old who died in the mass shooting in Chattanooga last week.

According to a news release, Wells' body will land at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport around 1 p.m. today. A motorcade will then escort the body north on Interstate 75, toward Kennesaw.

Anyone interested in gathering on the bridge can take Interstate 75 south to Exit 267A: Highway 5 North, Canton Road. To the right, there is an overpass construction parking lot.

Wells' family will host visitors at the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. Friday and from 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Wells' funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Woodstock.
