Katherine H. JohnsonOAK RIDGE - The grandmother had hidden her granddaughter's car keys because she was concerned she was "on drugs and/or drunk" and shouldn't be driving, according to court records.
When 30-year-old Katherine H. Johnson found the keys, she got into an argument with her grandmother, Mattie Kelly, who tried to take the keys out of the ignition and get her granddaughter out of the vehicle.
That's when Johnson put the vehicle in reverse, hitting Kelly with the open door, knocking her down, causing her head to strike the concrete driveway of the Hendrix Drive residence, according to an arrest warrant.
