'It was horrific' Witness describes crash that killed six, injured six
Authorities investigating the horrific I-75 crash that killed six people Thursday night are would like to talk to people who were on the scene trying to help before the official first responders got there.
People in the stopped traffic and bystanders told stories of trying to put out a blazing vehicle fire and of attempting to rescue victims or aid the injured.
Anyone who helped at the scene is asked to call Chattanooga Police Department investigators at 423-643-5222.
If no one is able to take your call, investigators ask helpers to leave a detailed message with their name and contact information.
