McMinn County dispatchers said county fire officials worked on a fatal fire this morning on County Road 561, near the McMinn County airport in Athens, Tenn.
McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy said the victim in the fire has been identified as Michelle Lynn Guffey, 29, of 2007 County Road 561, Athens.
State bomb and arson investigators arrived on scene and took over the investigation, Guy said.
The fire was reported at 5:28 a.m. today and fire crews were still on the scene.
