Regents name Flora Tydings as Chattanooga State president

NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Board of Regents today named Flora Tydings as Chattanooga State Community College's new president.

Tydings, now president at Athens Technical College in Northeast Georgia, will assume the leadership role in Chattanooga on July 13.

The board also named new presidents for two other community colleges.

Anthony G. Kinkel, current president of Wichita Area Technical College in Kansas, will become president of Motlow State Community College in Moore County effective Aug. 1. And Tracy D. Hall, vice president for academic affairs at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park, will join Southwest Tennessee College in Memphis as president on July 13.
