Man injured in drive-by shooting in Chattanooga

A man was injured in a drive-by shooting early this morning in Chattanooga, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.

Officers responded about 1:50 a.m. on reports of person shot at the 2400 block of Windsor Street.

Jamario Gibson, 25, said he was standing next to Windsor Street about 1:30 a.m. when someone in a vehicle shot at him.

Gibson sustained a single gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The injury did not appear to be life-threatening.

No vehicle description or credible suspect information has been provided to police. Investigators continue to follow all actionable leads.
