Two adults, one child die in Middle Tennessee crash

GALLATIN, Tenn. - Police say two adults and a child have died and two other children were injured after their vehicle crashed in Middle Tennessee.

Gallatin Police Department spokesman Bill Storment said the crash was reported Sunday evening on Highway 386 and the cause is under investigation.

Media report that police identified the adults who died as 27-year-old William Hobbs and 22-year-old Reba Cooke, both of Portland. A 3-year-old boy who died hasn't been identified. A 5-year-old girl and a 6-month-old boy were injured, but Storment told The Tennessean that he didn't have their current conditions.

He said Hobbs was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer, which wrecked and burned. A second vehicle was rear-ended, but he said it's unclear whether that happened before or after the Trailblazer went out of control.
