Hixson man facing homicide charges for beating and stabbing death in Soddy-Daisy

There is a long list of criminal charges against Chad Massengale in the Hamilton County court records.

The newest one trumps them all.

The 30-year-old Hixson resident with a string of alleged offenses dating back to shortly after his 18th birthday is now facing criminal homicide charges after Soddy Daisy police arrested him Sunday for the December beating and stabbing death of 51-year-old Tony Rector.

Massengale was being held at the Hamilton County Jail Monday on $2 million bond.
