Arrest made in shooting at Hixson Kangaroo gas station

Chattanooga police arrested Frederick Michael Vick, 25, in connection with a shooting at a Kangaroo gas station in Hixson on Christmas Eve.

Police received a call around 11 p.m. Dec. 24, 2015, of a person shot at 5501 Highway 153.

There reportedly had been a fight involving three females and a man.

When the man, Kenneth Redman, 31, stepped into the fight he was reportedly shot by a second man, Vick.

Redman was struck multiple times in his lower legs. He was transported via private vehicle to a local hospital.

His injuries were non-life-threatening.

Vick was charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, unlicensed carrying or possessing a weapon, possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony, felony reckless endangerment, possession of Xanax for resale and possession of Oxycotin for resale.
