CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Clarksville police say a 3-year-old boy has died after shooting himself with a gun in the face.
The Leaf-Chronicle reports Clarksville police spokesman Lt. Steve Warren said the child was visiting with family from Fort Riley, Kansas, when he was shot Friday at a residence.
He says the child fired one shot from a .40-caliber handgun registered to the owner of the home.
Warren says the child was pronounced dead at a Clarksville hospital.
Warren said no charges were immediately filed and the investigation is continuing.
