One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash early this morning on Wilcox Boulevard.
At 2:00 a.m. Chattanooga police responded to the scene on the 3100 block of Wilcox Boulevard. A preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling southeast when it left the road, struck a light pole and a tree, according to a release.
The victim was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at Erlanger upon EMS arrival.
The suspected driver Bobby L. Seely, 42, was taken into custody on unrelated charges, but further charges are pending in the investigation.
