A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while crossing DuPont Parkway early Monday morning, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.
A large truck was traveling northbound when it hit a pedestrian trying to cross the road about 2:30 a.m. at the 1800 block of DuPont Parkway.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.
An investigation has determined that the area was not well lit and the truck driver was not speeding No charges are pending against the driver at this time.
The crash is still under investigation.
