NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Country stars Miranda Lambert and the late Johnny Cash, along with famed blues musician Steve Cropper, were honored with stars on the Music City Walk of Fame.
The artists represent the kind of multi-genre talent that has been drawn to Nashville, Tennessee, for decades. Lambert, a two-time Grammy winner originally from Texas, said she recently moved back to the city and felt more inspired by the city's music than ever before.
Cropper got his start in Memphis, Tennessee, at Stax Records, as a guitarist with Booker T. and the M.G.s, but he moved east to Nashville about 30 years ago.
Cash's youngest brother, Tommy Cash, accepted the honor on his brother's behalf. E.W. Wendell, an executive who helped to grow the Grand Ole Opry and Gaylord Entertainment, was also inducted.
