Jim Williamson has been promoted by RiverCity Co. to the position of vice president of planning and development, according to an announcement by President and CEO Kim White.
White said Blair Waddell will now serve as retail recruiter, and Tiffanie Robinson has joined River City as program manager. Williamson previously served as director of special projects.
RiverCity Co. is downtown Chattanooga's economic development company.
Two designated Wealth Advisors
Robert L. Donina Jr. and Joseph J. Romanchik, both financial advisers with UBS Financial Services Inc., have received the Wealth Advisor designation from the firm.
Donina serves as vice president-investments with UBS and is a partner in The Donina Group. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and is a certified financial planner and certified financial manager. He and his wife, Michelle, live on Signal Mountain with their sons, Bobby and Joey. Their oldest son, Marco, attends Belmont University in Nashville.
Romanchik serves as a senior vice president-investments at UBS and is a partner of The Mountain City Financial Group. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany. He and his wife, Lisa, live on Signal Mountain with their two daughters, Stephanie and Brooke.

Cates receives Bar Association honor
Alan L. Cates of the law firm of Husch Blackwell LLP was recently presented the 2010 Harry Weill Zealous Practice of Law Award by the board of governors of the Chattanooga Bar Association.
The CBA presents the honor each year "to a member of the Bar whose energetic and enthusiastic service to clients is worthy of praise, and whose polite and dignified manner, even in the most contentious situations, provides a model of civility that is worthy of emulation."
Cates is a partner in the Chattanooga office of Husch Blackwell.
Mitchell named COO of Life Care
Christopher Mitchell has been promoted to chief operating officer of Life Care Centers of America, the Cleveland, Tenn.-based operator of more than 220 nursing, post-acute and Alzheimer's centers in 28 states.
His nomination to the post was made by Chairman Forrest Preston and confirmed unanimously by the board of directors, according to a news release.
He joined Life Care in 2008 as senior vice president of Life Care at Home and most recently was vice president of the eastern division of the company.
Mitchell is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and has a master's degree from the University of Louisville.
Centerstone adds Shallowford office
Centerstone, a not-for-profit organization that provides mental health and addiction services, has opened an outpatient office at 6110 Shallowford Road, Suite B.

Skowronnek joins Moss Media Labs
Dawn Skowronnek has joined Chattanooga-based Moss Media Labs as director of client engagement.
She will be involved in marketing the social media offerings of the firm while also conducting educational workshops, developing client strategy and coordinating special events.
Moss Media Labs described itself as providing "the know-how, experience and tools necessary to create, launch and maintain successful digital marketing initiatives."
The firm is located at 55 E. Main St.
Williams receives merit award
Robbie Williams, athletic trainer with the Center for Sports Medicine, has received the 2011 President's Award of Merit given by the Tennessee Athletics Trainers' Society.
A news release said Williams received the honor for his contributions to TSSAA's statewide sports medicine efforts, work with the Tennessee Sports Medicine Advisory Council and for the job he does with GPS student athletes.
Cannon joins Leitner law firm
Blair Bennington Cannon has joined the Chattanooga office of the law firm of Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan PLLC as Of Counsel. Her practice is focused in the areas of insurance defense, domestic law, construction law and workers' compensation.
She is a native Chattanoogan who graduated from Girls Preparatory School, the University of Tennessee and the UT College of Law.
She is married to C. Edward "Eddie" Cannon and is the mother of two children, Grace and Addie.
Teems named Realtor of Year
Bobby Teems, a broker with Coldwell Banker, Teems & Teems Realty in LaFayette, Ga., has been named the winner of the 2010 Realtor of the Year Award by the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors.
"If receiving this recognition was only a 'popularity contest,' I can assure you that Bobby Teems would have already been a multi-time winner based solely on the number of our members who regard him with affection, esteem and enormous respect," GCAR President Jennifer Grayson said. Teems has served as a Realtor for more than 12 years. He is married and the father of two sons.
He was founding president of the LaFayette Optimist Club and he and his brother, Billy, have been active in the Walker County Special Olympics.

Cornerstone Home Lending has announced its opening of offices in Chattanooga and Cleveland as it expands its area of service into Tennessee.
Cornerstone Home Lending is a subsidiary of Cornerstone Mortgage Co., a full-service mortgage banker with 81 offices in 16 states.
Decosimo named strategic partner
Decosimo Certified Public Accountants, a Chattanooga-based accounting and business advisory firm, has become the first strategic partner for the MidSouth Alternative Investment Association.
