Man charged in 3 slayings

Knox County authorities have charged a 51-year-old man in the fatal shooting of his wife, her twin sister and another woman in the couple's apartment.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reported Paul Moore Jr. was held in lieu of $1.5 million bond Tuesday after being charged with three counts of first-degree murder.

Knox County sheriff's deputies were called to the apartment Monday afternoon and found the bodies of 39-year-old Christina Moore and her sister, Bridgett Stagnolia. Also found dead was Amber Snellings, 24.

The Knoxville Police Department took Moore into custody a short time later at the home of his brother. Authorities said the brother called 911 to report the shootings. Sheriff's detectives recovered a pistol believed to have been used to shoot the victims.
