The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place has ongoing community projects, and the most recent service project fell on Halloween at the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.
Snack sacks were packed for area schools. These are sent home on Friday with students to give them something to eat over the weekend. The teachers have reported an increase in attendance on Fridays and Mondays as a result.
Around 800-plus snack sacks were packed. Also, around 30 pound boxes of food were packed with monitoring from the Food Bank to ensure the boxed meals are healthy and nutritious.
