Good Samaritans are still around
I would like to thank the kind person who found my purse (still in the shopping cart!) at Walmart Sunday. I was so grateful to get my purse back with everything still in it, but more important is the fact that there are still honest people in this world.
Again, thank you very much.
Beware 'novelty' contact lenses
A growing trend, especially around celebrations like Halloween, has eye care professionals worried.
Decorative "novelty" contact lenses, designed to change the look and color of your eyes, are all the rage. These lenses are being marketed on social networking sites and are often sold at convenience stores, novelty shops and online.
Contact lenses are "by prescription only," and must be obtained through appropriately licensed eyecare professionals. Like shoes fitted to your feet, contact lenses have to be fitted to your eyes, even if they don't have an optical correction.
Also, since decorative contact lenses often come from abroad, sterilization and packaging may not be by reputable manufacturers, and the safety of these over-the-counter contact lenses cannot be assured. Infections of the eye can result from bacteria or fungi. The National Registry of Eye Injuries has recorded tens of thousands of eye injuries from these lenses, some leading to blindness!
The American Academy of Ophthalmology is warning parents and teens (to whom these lenses are often directed) that use of decorative over-the-counter novelty contact lenses may be dangerous and should be avoided.
So to be really cool, avoid bad decisions, now that you know!

What other laws are not enforced?
Since illegal immigration is legal at Chattanooga State, what other laws don't they enforce? Or is it they enforce only those laws that are politically correct!
