Good Deed: Many join to provide needed services

Good Deed: Many join to provide needed services

October 14th, 2012 in Opinion Letters

Last month, Remote Area Medical provided medical, dental and vision services free of charge to 880 patients. These services alone are valued at $370,879. In addition to the services rendered, numerous resources came together in a collective effort to fulfill these needs.

First and foremost, the East Ridge city leadership graciously offered the use of Camp Jordan Arena. Next, the Center for Sports Medicine stepped forward to become a major partner. Twenty-two organizations altruistically and without hesitancy donated their resources for the greater good of our community. Another 20 institutions, professional programs or companies, provided services for the betterment of the less fortunate.

On behalf of the patients and the entire Remote Area Medical organization, we wish to thank the entities mentioned above for their compassion, contributions and empathic generosity.
