Good Deed: EMS Week Bass Tournament donates to local charities

Fifty-one boats and 102 participants from Southeast Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina recently participated in the EMS Week Bass Tournament, the seventh annual such tournament here.

Each year, this charity event continues to grow. It has become a huge success because of the continuous support of local hospitals and the anglers representing their Emergency Services agencies.

Since 2010, the EMS Week Bass Tournament has been able to financially support 10 students through paramedic school with required curriculum materials, as well $2,900 in donations to the Chattanooga Forgotten Child Fund, which provides a Christmas to underprivileged children in the Chattanooga and Hamilton County area.
