The Rant

The Rant

July 23rd, 2017 in Opinion Rants

Peyton Manning should run for governor. Then, after eight years of gaining political prowess, he should run for president. He would win in a landslide!

If you care about your health and the future of your children, please don't vote for any Republicans in 2018.

Please, can we move past the Russia-Trump news? This is worse than when Elvis and Michael Jackson died.

I would like our elected officials to have the same health care they are proposing for their constituents.

Let's revisit Hillary and Bill and Russia for a bit, OK? Has everyone forgotten the links there?

Republicans voted 56 times to repeal Obamacare when they knew they couldn't. With total political control, what will the hypocrites do next?

The Republican Party protected our nation from Russia's KGB for decades. No longer. Putin plays Trump and party like a Stradivari, endangering our republic.

Tweets are to Trump as the tapes were to Nixon. Both provide important insights into their character, lack of decency and sense of privileged self-importance.

Does anyone know where Donald Trump stores his nuts for the winter?

Dems and Saban still crying over loss. Get over it.

Prayers be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life. Christian Democrats: Pray.

Chattanooga and Washington similarities: Horrible streets and horrible tweets. Give us a break!

Nowhere in the 1st amendment is the word "from" used. It's "of." Big difference. Of means you can choose, from means you can't.

Confederate statues: If they must be removed, send them to the Dayton courthouse lawn for a good home.

Trump's 'Made In America Week' is a joke since his and Ivanka's brands are made overseas. His election wasn't even made in America.

Hillman is just one reason I do not trust law enforcement of any kind — especially blue.

The new school superintendent should be given a larger salary for all he will have to deal with in Chattanooga.

Congratulations to Auburn's Tray Matthews who entered UGA and promptly messed up. Second chance, maturing worked. "I never want to see my mother cry again."

Remember when the customer was always right? Those days are gone. Customer service hard to get. Please watch sales tax. Many stores ripping us off.

Why does TFP litter our region with yellow plastic sleeved ads every Wednesday? Consider a subscription requirement, eliminate vacant properties and unwanted mess.

Disgusting that a local law firm would turn the Fallen Five Memorial into a blatant act to advertise! Keep the stickers off my Sunday paper.

Recent ranter is correct: Dogs should not be left in cars. They should not be in shops or restaurants either, but home in cool air.

Miller Park: They put strips on the Market Street trees (saving them?) published picture in the paper. Made me happy. Today every tree is gone!

Hats off to the Public Works department for maintaining its collection schedule despite the loss of five garbage trucks in the recent fire. Great job folks!

West-bound speedsters cutting into right lane traffic on Fourth Street put families crossing Fourth at the Children's Museum in extreme jeopardy. Never a police presence there.

I don't mean to brag, but my wife can still fit into the same earrings she wore in high school!
