NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Gov. Bill Haslam is planning to make what his office is calling a "significant" economic development announcement in Nashville.

The governor is scheduled to be joined by Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd for the announcement at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday afternoon.

Recent economic development deals have included a new $550 million headquarters for HPR Ammunition in Blount County; new corporate offices for Regal Entertainment in Knoxville; and $300 million expansion of Aluminum producer Alcoa's automotive body sheet facility in eastern Tennessee.
