U.S. Rep. Diane Black and her husband had $78.6 million in taxable income from 2013 to 2016 while House Speaker Beth Harwell and her spouse had $1.5 million during the same time period, according to financial summaries provided to the USA Today Network-Tennessee.

The findings come as part of a request by USA Today Network-Tennessee of all seven top-tier candidates for the 2018 gubernatorial race. The request, which was made in early October, asked the candidates for copies of their federal income tax returns.

The other GOP candidates are Knoxville entrepreneur Randy Boyd, Williamson County businessman Bill Lee and former state Sen. Mae Beavers. The Democratic candidates are former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and state House Minority Leader Craig Fitzhugh.
