NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam announced Monday the appointments of 217 Tennesseans to 93 boards and commissions.

"By serving on our state boards and commissions, these Tennesseans are helping us provide responsive, effective and efficient service to their fellow citizens," Haslam said. "I am grateful for their service and know they will well represent the people of Tennessee."

Appointment terms are varied due to differing statutory requirements or term limits determined by specific qualifications.

Chattanooga and surrounding area appointments are: Council for Licensing Hearing Instrument Specialists, Jackie Miller of Hixson; Health Services and Development Agency, Kenneth Patric of Chattanooga; State Workforce Development Board, Warren Logan of Chattanooga; Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners, Rick Thompson of Chattanooga; Tennessee Commission on Holocaust Education, Alison Lebovitz of Chattanooga; Tennessee Council for the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard of Hearing, Lori Wyke of Chattanooga; Tennessee Council for the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard of Hearing, Lori Wyke of Chattanooga; Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities, Roddey Coe of Ooltewah; Tennessee Higher Education Commission, DaKasha Winton of Red Bank; Tennessee Massage Licensure Board, Marvis Burke of Harrison and Virginia Yarbrough of Chattanooga; Tennessee State Veterans' Home Board, Tiffany Sawyer of Cleveland; Tennessee Suicide Prevention Advisory Council, Eve Nite of Chattanooga.
