Coach Jim Foster was none too pleased with his University of Tennessee at Chattanooga team's effort after the Mocs dropped a 60-55 decision to Hawaii in the Waikiki Beach Rainbow Wahine women's basketball tournament Saturday.

And he had no problem voicing his displeasure.

The Mocs shot a paltry 29 percent from the floor and dropped their second straight decision in Honolulu with the five-point loss to the Lady Rainbow Warriors. The teams were tied at 33 early in the second half, but Hawaii had an 18-6 run.

UTC answered with a run of its own, cutting the deficit to 55-52 on a 3-pointer by Taylor Hall. The Lady Rainbow Warriors missed a shot, but Chelsey Shumpert missed a 3-point attempt for the Mocs, and Kamilah Jackson scored Hawaii's last five points to claim the victory.

"We just had a lot of individual play tonight," Foster said on the radio. "We took a lot of shots I don't like, and eventually it manifested itself in a lot of different areas."

Hall finished with 12 points, 16 rebounds and four assists. Ka'Vonne Towns had 14 points to lead the scoring, while freshman Shumpert had 11, including three 3-pointers. Ashlen Dewart added nine points and four rebounds, but Foster hinted Saturday that there could be some changes on the horizon if team play didn't improve.

"We might have to get our freshmen some opportunities," he said. "We could head in another direction, because I want players in there that want to play. Too often tonight we took quick shots. We have to create our own energy, our own breaks and our own calls."

Jackson led Hawaii (4-3) with 17 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Ashleigh Karaitiana had 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Destiny King also scored 11.

The Mocs (4-3) end their Hawaii trip with a game against Colorado State this afternoon at 5 EST.
