Tracy Rocker, who was an All-America defensive tackle at Auburn and an assistant coach on Auburn's 2010 national championship team, is expected to be Georgia's new defensive line coach.

Rocker spent the past three seasons as defensive line coach of the Tennessee Titans, and it's a role he has held previously with Auburn (2009-10), Ole Miss (2008), Arkansas (2003-07), Cincinnati (2002), Troy State (1997-2001) and West Alabama (1994-96). He began his coaching career as Auburn High School's defensive coordinator in 1992-93.

Georgia had not announced the hiring as of Saturday evening.

Rocker won the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award as a senior in 1988, when Auburn went 10-1 in the regular season and won a second consecutive Southeastern Conference championship. He was selected by the Washington Redskins in the third round of the 1989 draft but lasted just two seasons in the NFL.

Rocker played for the Orlando Thunder of the World League of American Football in 1991 before embarking on his coaching career.

The Bulldogs are experiencing a complete overhaul of their defensive staff for the first time since 1964, when Vince Dooley was hired as coach. New defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt added South Alabama defensive coordinator Kevin Sherrer to his staff this past week, and Georgia would be lacking just one defensive assistant with the addition of Rocker.
