Georgia picked up its sixth football commitment for its 2016 signing class and the fourth from within the state, receiving a pledge Sunday from Fort Valley cornerback Tyrique McGhee.
McGhee is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and 247Sports.com. The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder picked the Bulldogs over other early scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Kentucky and South Carolina.
The Bulldogs previously received commitments from guard Ben Cleveland of Toccoa, Ga.; quarterback Jacob Eason of Lake Stevens, Wash.; running back B.J. Emmons of Morganton, N.C.; defensive end Chauncey Manac of Homerville, Ga.; and guard Aaron Dowdell of Atlanta.
Eason is rated by Rivals as the top pro-style quarterback and top overall prospect in the 2016 class. Cleveland is the No. 2 guard prospect nationally, while Manac is the No. 4 weakside defensive end and Emmons the No. 7 running back.
