Georgia sophomore cornerback Juwuan Briscoe was arrested Saturday night by university police on the misdemeanor charges of driving without a license and failing to wear a seat belt.

According to the Clarke County Jail online booking report, each charge had a $500 bond.

Briscoe is the fourth Bulldogs player arrested since the start of Kirby Smart's first spring practice in Athens in mid-March. Sophomore defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter was arrested last month on the misdemeanor charges of underage alcohol possession and possession of false identification, while freshman cornerback Chad Clay and freshman defensive lineman Julian Rochester were each charged with two felonies earlier this month after shooting a BB gun in their dorm room.

Ledbetter has been suspended for Georgia's season opener Sept. 3 against North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic. Smart has not announced whether Clay and Rochester will face suspensions.

Briscoe, a 5-foot-11, 193-pounder from Waldorf, Md., played in nine games last season, including starts against Florida and Kentucky. He collected six tackles and broke up two passes.

Last week, Briscoe was recognized along with sophomore inside linebacker Natrez Patrick as Georgia's most improved defensive players of spring drills.
