Highlights from Tennessee football practice

KNOXVILLE -- Tennessee practiced in shoulder pads and shorts on Wednesday morning at Haslam Field for the first of two practices on the day.

The Volunteers will return to practice behind closed doors later Wednesday evening.

Running back Jalen Hurd, linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin, defensive end Austin Smith and defensive backs Micah Abernathy and D.J. Henderson remain in noncontact jerseys.

Head coach Butch Jones, wide receiver Josh Smith and punter Trevor Daniel are scheduled to speak to the media after practice.

Today's video highlights include drills for the defensive line and wide receivers and Cameron Sutton and Tyler Byrd catching punts.
