Russ Huesman completes UTC football coaching staff

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga head football coach Russ Huesman announced the additions of Adam Ross as and John Srofe to the coaching staff Monday afternoon.

Ross will be the new offensive line coach, while Srofe takes over as the video coordinator as well as the defensive quality control coach.

In addition to the new faces, Huesman announced that Rod West, who coaches corners and dimes, will also assume the position of recruiting coordinator. He will take over for Will Healy, who took the Austin Peay head coaching job in January.

Ross takes over for Chris Malone, who recently moved to the same position at Old Dominion after two seasons at UTC. Ross comes from West Alabama, where his 2014 Tigers led the Gulf South Conference in rushing and were in the top 16 in fewest sacks allowed in each of his two seasons.

He played collegiately as a walk-on at Jacksonville State, where he would eventually earn a scholarship and start three years at center. After graduation, he spent 11 seasons on the coaching staff.

Srofe graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2015, then spent last season as the video coordinator at Wofford College. He steps in for Alex Schnitzer, who moved to the private sector earlier this month.
