Georgia's two coordinators under new head football coach Kirby Smart will start off on equal financial footing.

Defensive coordinator Mel Tucker, the former Alabama secondary coach whose hiring was confirmed Tuesday morning, has agreed to a three-year contract that will pay him $850,000. Offensive coordinator Jim Chaney previously agreed to a three-year deal at $850,000 annually.

Georgia's previous defensive coordinator, Jeremy Pruitt, earned $850,000 in 2014 before receiving a raise before this past season to $1.3 million. Pruitt's predecessor, Todd Grantham, made $850,000 in 2013.

The offensive coordinator this past season, Brian Schottenheimer, earned $950,000.
