Former Baylor School standout Blakesly Warren is tied for second place individually at 138 for Tennessee, which is tied for fifth with Brigham Young at 576 going into the final round today in the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate golf tournament at Knoxville's Cherokee Country Club. Illinois leads at 563 with Stephanie Miller also at 138, three shots behind Pimnipa Panthong of second-place Kent State (569). Florida is at 570 and Maryland is fourth at 575, while UT-Chattanooga is tied for ninth at 584 in the 15-team field. The Mocs' Megan Woods is tied for seventh at 142, and Maria Pinieiro is tied for 19th at 144, playing as an individual. Monica San Juan and Holly Morgan are tied for 35th at 147, and Cristina Perez is at 148.

* Paced by Shea Sylvester's Monday-best 65, the Lee University men lead the nine-team Montevallo Full Moon Invitational at Timberline Golf Club with a 276 total. The Flames' Matt Johnson and Corey Sheppard are tied for seventh at 70, and Dylan Lillard is tied for 11th at 71. The Lee women are fifth out of 11 teams after two rounds of the Ross Resorts Invitational at Southern Pines, N.C., with Caroline Moore fourth at 148 and Sam Burrus tied for eighth at 150.

* The Sewanee men's golf team finished in a tie for third Monday in the Rhodes College Fall Classic at Tunica National, and the Sewanee women finished fifth in the BSC Southern Shootout. The female Tigers improved by 10 strokes in round two, with Sarah Battye tying for fifth at 151 and Sophie Morrill and Meghan Symonds sharing 13th at 155. The men totaled 588 for 36 holes, 10 shots behind Tyler-Texas and two behind runner-up Rhodes, and Alex Wedding tied for third individually at 140 with Gray Matthews tying for sixth at 143.

* The Moc RBI Club will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the UTC softball team's indoor practice facility at Warner Park. Coach Frank Reed will introduce the new players and preview the fall practice season, and the public is invited.
