UTC associate athletic director Rob Robinson leaving for New Mexico

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior associate athletic director Rob Robinson has accepted a similar position at New Mexico.

Robinson spent four and a half years at UTC, where he was primarily in charge of finance and administration. He oversaw the department's fiscal operations, game and personnel contract executions, risk management and strategic planning initiatives while also serving as the sport oversight for the men's basketball and women's soccer programs.

He will serve in much the same capacity at New Mexico, with the title change to chief financial officer for the athletic department.

"I am excited and honored to join the Lobo family," Robinson said in a New Mexico press release. "The opportunity to support Eddie Nunez's vision for excellence in UNM athletics and advance the collective interests of our student-athletes, coaches, community and fans is very special to me.

"I cannot wait to call Albuquerque home."

The 2004 Baylor graduate joined the UTC athletic department in August 2013 after spending time at both Tennessee, his college alma mater, and Oklahoma.
