The Mocs fell to Bucknell 20-17, but Chad Solomon, filling in for injured 174-pounder Sean Mappes, got his first collegiate varsity victory and Alonzo Allen (125) posted another impressive win.

Mocs 184-pounder Bryce Carr also got his third win in four tries at the tournament, getting another major decision.

Allen and Chris DeBien (133) pushed UTC to a 7-0 lead, but the Mocs lost the next four before wins from Solomon and Carr brought them back to within six points. However, Johnson was forced to settle for a regular decision.

UTC (3-7) will be back on the road next weekend, wrestling at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. The Mocs will be back home on Jan. 28 for a Southern Conference doubleheader against Campbell and Davidson.
