Corey Levin took a week off from his professional training, but it was for good reason.

Levin, who just completed his University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football career, participated in the National Football League Players' Association Collegiate Bowl at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles on Saturday. He was part of the American team, which fell 27-0 to the National team.

Levin started at right guard in the game but also trained some at other positions on the offensive line during the week. He was a three-time All-American for the Mocs and won the Jacobs Blocking Award given to the top offensive lineman in the Southern Conference in 2014 and 2015.

"I feel I did pretty well," Levin said by phone Saturday night. "It's kind of a grind, honestly. They've got to install a whole new playbook in just a week, and you have to get comfortable playing with new guys, get used to new coaching, their style. Between doing that and practice, you have interviews with scouts and they have different types of presentations to get you ready for life in the NFL."

Levin said the scouts met in general with the players throughout the week, but some scouts would call players to set up private meetings later in the day. He said he met with Mike Maccagnan, the general manager of the New York Jets, and with representatives from the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons, among others.

Now he heads back to Atlanta, where he's been training at Chip Smith Performance Systems since Christmas, in hopes of hearing his name called during the upcoming NFL draft.

"I feel really good about it," Levin said of his NFL chances. "I'll continue to control what I can control. You can't really make someone call my name in April, but I feel I have a pretty decent shot at it.

"We'll see where things take us."
