KNOXVILLE - Tennessee picked up its third verbal commitment for the 2019 recruiting class Wednesday when defensive tackle LeDarrius Cox pledged to the Vols.
Cox, who will be a senior at McGill-Toolen Catholic High in Mobile, Ala., next school year, announced his commitment on Twitter.
"I want to thank God for this opportunity and putting me in this situation," Cox wrote. "I am verbally committing to the University of Tennessee."

Cox, a three-star prospect according to recruiting services Rivals.com and 247Sports.com, is 6-foot-4 and weighs 310 pounds. He also has scholarship offers from Georgia and Ole Miss, among others. Verbal commitments are nonbinding, and Cox's first opportunity to sign a national letter of intent will come in December.
McGill-Toolen advanced to the state championship game in 2017, with Cox totaling 26 tackles and six sacks for the season, according to AL.com.
He joins tight end Jackson Lowe and offensive lineman Jackson Lampley in the Vols' 2019 class.
