Morning gang.

You know how we roll around these parts. Monday through Friday, we're here. Been that way since Oct. 25, 2010 -- making this the 1,481st consecutive non-weekend days. Can't stop that kind of streak on America's Birthday. 'Merica.

On holidays -- and there will be no Press Row today either friends -- we normally trot out a top-five list in 10 words or less. The soon-to-be-patented 5-in-10 at the 5-at-10.

Feels like we've done a Rushmore of patriotic sports moments before -- and talked some about that on Friday's Press Row -- so let's do a new one. (Side note: Before we go forward, we'd be remiss not mentioning TFP all-around ace David Paschall's interesting report on McCallie swimmer Sean Ryan going to swim in the nasty waters of Rio at the Olympics.)

OK, on the Fourth, let's have a top five of folks who wore No. 4. (It's one of the better numbers ever across all sports.)

1. Bobby Orr. Simply, the best defenseman in hockey history.
2. Lou Gehrig. Plus, his speech made a run at Patriotic moment too.
3. Brett Favre. Why does he not get more love among all-timers?
4. Mel Ott. Hit 511 homers and .304 in a HoF career.
5. Dolph Schayes. Picked over HoF hoopsters Dumars and Dantley.

That's five Hall of Famers in four sports that wore No. 4. Well, seven counting Dumars and Dantley as well. Now add Paul Molitor and Joe Cronin -- and potentially Rogers Hornsby and Chuck Barkley, each of whom wore 4 for four seasons -- and the number is well represented.

That of course got us thinking about which number has had the most success.

There are a slew of amazing 32s, for example, but no hockey player that comes close. Yes a trio of 32s with Magic, Jim Brown and say, Sandy Koufax, is stellar. But Dale Hunter is the only 32 hockey sweater to be retired by an NHL team.

Enjoy the holiday and be safe out there. We will be back Tuesday with weekend winners and losers.

Best number across all sports for a top 5 of greatness? Whatcha' got?
