Knoxville's Ogle wins at Cleveland and other sports news

Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville won the pole and led all 40 laps Saturday night to win the 22nd annual Jean Johnson Memorial race for Super Late Model cars at Cleveland Speedway. Ogle got $3,500 for winning the Southern All Stars event. SAS points leader Randy Weaver of Crossville finished second, followed by Skip Arp of Georgetown, Johnny Chastain of Murphy, N.C., and Dingus Griffin of Alexandria, Ala. Georgetown's Lamar Scoggins won the 30-lap Limited Late Model/Crate race and got $1,200.

Tennis

• AUBURN, Ala. -- The Chattanooga Lightning 14-under intermediate team based out of the Racquet Club represented Tennessee in the USTA Junior Team Tennis Southern Sectional tournament this weekend and finished second in its flight. The Lightning won 34-19 over Mississippi, 38-16 over Kentucky and 40-15 over Arkansas but lost a tight 32-24 match with Georgia. The Lightning players were Kinsey Anderson, Alex Condra, Olivia Crawley, Hannah Dattilo, Jackson Gravitt, Mary Margaret Haywood, Sarah Faith Ingell, Will Ingell and Carl Phillips. Raul Fernandez is the coach.
